Sopwith Snipe was WW1 Royal Air Force fighter. The prototype Snipe first fly was at the end of 1917, and in summer 1918 the serial production of aircrafts was started. Untill 1926 Snipe was in service as standard fighter of the RAF. Four Snipes were delivered to Canada, USA also received a few planes, twelve planes was sent to Brazil in 1922. the Soviet Russia captured 2 planes and used them in Civil War 1918-1920. |
