'Cristie' T-3 medium tank was developed in USA in 1930-31. Even with many design flaws these tanks had been ahead of their time. The hull was made of 6-14mm armor plates riveted together and could withstand small arms fire. 37mm gun and 7.62mm machine-gun were fitted to cylindrical turret. In 1931 USSR purchased two turret less T-3 and developed series of wheel-track fast tanks BT-2, BT-5, BT-7.
