GAZ-MM Soviet Army Truck model kit In 1938 in connection with development of manufacture of the new engine GAZ - M (50 h.p.) for the GAZ - M1 car was accepted the solution to establish this engine on a truck GAZ -AA, having conducted modernization of this truck. The modernized truck received a designation GAS - MM, except for moire high-power engine had more perfect control gear, reinforced attachment of back springs and other changes. In such kind the truck was let out prior to the beginning Great Domestic war, when its design was extreme simplified. However simplification of GAZ - MM has not caused deterioration of its characteristics. Constant have remained high passableness, reliability, simplicity of maintenance and repair.
